The following is the selection process established by the Board of Directors:
The nomination process will open up on the fall months of each odd year and will close at the end of said year. The class for that year will be announced by the end of April of that year. For example, for the class of 2022, nominations will open on the fall of 2021 and closed on December 31st, 2021. The announcement of the class of 2022 was at the end of April 2022
There is no limit to the number of nominations in any given year.
The general public as well as the Board of Directors may nominate candidates.
Nominations from the 2024 class that were not voted in, will be considered for subsequent classes in following years.. This will be the process going forward.
A maximum of 7 individuals will be awarded each cycle.
Each year depending on nominations, there is the potential of one KSFDHOF spot that will be reserved for a person that had an impact on the sport but didn’t meet the residency and career requirement below. This will be called a Kansas Flying Disc Legacy Award and is described below.
The KSFDHOF is mostly reserved for individuals, but teams and/or clubs, may also be nominated and considered for entering into the KSFDHOF. A maximum of one organization will be in a class of the Hall of Fame.
Voting will be by the Board of Directors.
All winners will be notified of the results prior to the results being made public.

Recipients of the Legacy Award are evaluated using the same standard of excellence applied to Hall of Fame candidates. The award honors individuals whose work, leadership, or influence materially advanced the growth, development, or culture of Flying Disc sports in Kansas.
The limit to preserve the distinction of this recognition is no more than one Legacy Award recipient may be selected in a given cycle.
